An Exciting Announcement

An Exciting Announcement
Hello everyone!! As you can see from the photo above, I have some exciting news to share! Though more detailed posts may follow in the future, I'm BEYOND thrilled to be finally announcing my courtship!!

Still seems CRAZY to be typing those words here. The Father moves in such amazing ways, and though we maybe shouldn't be awed when His promises come full circle, I still find myself being blown away by His goodness. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. Isaiah 55:8 This verse has brought on so many meanings to me these past few months; they've taught me to rest in knowing what YHWH had spoken to me, to trust in His timing, and they have shown me that even when we have ideals of our own, our Heavenly Father surely does exceed our hopes.

An Exciting Announcement

Most of you regular readers will remember a few months back, all the way back to October of last fall, our family took a trip to the Upper Peninsula of our dear Michigan. I'd hoped to get a recap post of that trip up on the blog here for these past few months, but since then, my time has been occupied in areas other than blogging. You see, I met this special person while on that adventurous trip.

Caleb Gulder, the second oldest of a homeschooling, Torah Observant Christian family of 6 boys, quickly became my best friend the months after we met. Our families got along amazingly too that October day we spent at their house after them finding out we were right in their area. We said a mournful goodbye after spending a good 10 hours together that sabbath, knowing we'd made life long friends that would be a good 6 hours drive away from us in the future.

The distance was difficult as we knew how much our families really needed that fellowship we shared, but we all kept in touch and Caleb and my relationship blossomed even with over 300 miles between us. We realized we share similar goals and believe very much the same things. I thank YHWH He's helped us to develop a fabulous friendship; one that I'd always dreamed of having with my future someone, and didn't just get starry-eyed that we're the same age and met via a crazy set of "coincidences".

So since February 3rd, we've endeavored down a new path together concerning our friendship; courtship. Its been such a growing time already and a huge privilege and a tremendous joy.
