Benefits of a Thankful Spirit // in Snow!

Hey everyone!  This Saturday we were swamped by snow! Not the kind that stays a while, the kind that piles up on every single branch, every person standing still for more than one minute, all our back roads that do not get plowed in a hurry and the kind that I, a passionate lover of any season but winter, is amazed at. We were in the 50's and 60's just last week, this week we have 8" of snow and have plugged in the electric chicken waterer for good! I think that winter is here to stay- along with it's snows.Hot chocolate, here we come. :)                 Then again we do live in Michigan......

Even though last week as I shared our sermon about the importance of having a thankful spirit, our lesson this week was a slight review- with the topic of what we had uncovered- our Pastor shared the benefits of what we can reap after molding a grateful nature. So this week will just be short. :) Just a reminder, an encouragement to keep your attitude it check! Whew! We need it so much! All of us! 

• A grateful person will see an increase in their personal joy. Our attitude is effected by how we respond- are we quick to complain to argue ? Who is joyful after/while they are unhappy ?
• Being a grateful person can improve your witnessing. When we are joyful people will want to be around us. We will attract the hurt, lonely, and unbelievers because of our nature of gratitude! 
• It will make our relationships flourish.Remember how much Paul talked about his love for the churches that supported him ? We need to be the same way in our own acquaintances.
• It solidifies your relationship with God! One thing that God adores is a grateful spirit.It will make your love for God grow. And become solid. You will trust in Him.

I am somewhat amazed that I had yet to blog an outfit with this dress! I had been looking high and low for a LBD (little black dress) that was not sleeveless, above the knee, or too flouncy. I finally found this one at a newer thrift shop for five dollars! I was so happy! It had such a cute 50's cut! I know, it is just dying for a nylon petticoat. Perhaps in the summer.    :)

 An extra bonus- it is USA made! 

This belt. Need I say more ? I love this belt! My mom was out shopping without me one day last week and she is the one who found this piece of cute art work.  It has a leather strap that fastens with a pure brass buckle!  It is so unique! How many people can say that they have a belt with needlework sheep on it?!  One of my little dreams is to one day have a small herd of sheep. :)

This, new to me sweater is so pretty! I love the scalloping! I found it at a thrift store also! $2!  :)
