Outift // Golden Rose

Outfit // Golden Rose
Hello everyone! Before the weekend escapes me I'm checking in to share a quick outfit post with you. When we headed out to do the Jamberry nail wrap photo shoot, we ended up playing in the sun whilst Bek snapped pics of me. Some are a bit too comical for the blog if you ask me, but there's a few that I felt wouldn't be too embarrassing! Haha! The small meadow next to our house was just so beautiful at sundown one night last week.

Skirt- J-Crew, Goodwill; $4 // Slip- me made // Pink top- J-Jill, Gifted // Button up- Old Navy- thrifted, $1 (!!) Flower Crown- Ulta Beauty, $15
The sun was so golden and warm. This is a bit of property we've always dreamed of owning ourselves that is at the top of the hill where our house sits below and next to. The grass is always so lush in the summer months, being it a good spot to bring our horse up to graze from time to time seeing as how our bit of acreage is much more wooded and filled with old leaves and shrubbery below, rather than grassy stoops. But at least we are given full range of the beautiful spot! It's almost the same as owning it I guess. Almost. Not quite, but I'd take it over nothing.

This outfit was composed of the Summer to Fall theme I've been trying to work on. I'm loving the cool tones and warm solids that play a part in this season. But I admit also that I really just wanted to wear this flower headband/crown I picked up at Ulta beauty week before last. And guess what, wonder of all wonders, I actually paid full price for the darling head piece! To my shame and perhaps your surprise, not even a coupon was used! A chunk of $15 later and I walked out with the only one they had hanging and a big smile on my face. I do have this one, but it's not very well made. I've already, in my two-three months of owning have had to hot glue flowers back onto it. This one however is extremely well made, thus suffice to say that the price was little considering my long search for one and it's romantical color scheme.

This is a bit off topic, but as I am nearing the end of this post already, I'd just like to include a Bible passage which I think is so, so amazingly beautiful and that has encouraged me greatly this past week. Please do take a minute to read it, I know that you will be glad you did. And, take a breath before you do; sometimes when I read a verse that someone sends me or posts somewhere, I don't prepare my heart to accept it's truth beforehand, which leaves me with little of it's full benefit. So take that breath...

When thou passest through the waters, I WILL be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall NOT overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt NOT be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Isaiah 43:2

Are you looking forward to Autumn?
Whats a verse that you have dwelt on this week?

  5. So pretty! So, Cassie, would you like to go thrift-shopping with us sometime this month? It'd be so fun! Do you go to the Allegan County Fair Historical Village? We're volunteering there on the 12th and 15th. (From 10-2 a.m. both days, then 6-9 p.m. on the 15th.)
