Outfit // Daffodil Ruffle

Outfit // Daffodil Ruffle
Hello dear friends! Michigan Spring is making it's usual teases of warm and sunny, in the high of 50F one day, to 30F below and 2" of snow the next day. But it's kinda expected after all these years of living in our fine Great Lakes State, so we've been taking it with stride as usual, making those ever "around-the-corner" days of Summer ahead ever more a prize.

Every time one of those warm breezy days comes around, we've been taking full advantage by raking up more of the wet leaves still left by dear old Autumn before mosquitoes come set up homesteading. I've already weeded the front flower garden spots twice and plans for window boxes are finally coming reality! Oh how I'm looking forward to trying my hand at some of the new verities of flower seeds we've already picked up as well! Oh yes, hopes of a fully blossoming flower filled yard this Summer is definitely something that I'm looking forward to during these otherwise drab days of either brown or snow.

The beautiful Garlands of Grace captured the anticipation of Spring so wonderfully this season with their new line of light & flowery headwraps they released last month. Among the collection was this ruffly warp you see upon my head called, Daffodil Ruffle. Since my first order of headwraps had become such staples in my wardrobe these last few months, I decided the cost would be well worth the investment to add some Spring cheer that my closet was in need of. I ordered this pale yellow wrap along with Kathrine's Vintage Button. How excited I was to see it back in stock for Spring! I'll surely have to put an outfit together to feature it here on the blog as well soon!

Inopportune gallivants have also become a pleasure of ours during this in-between seasons time. One being this very photo shoot you see here. This field is just up the road from our house before you hit the hill that leads you into our wooded valley. Bek and I stopped the car when we saw a huge flock of birds just landing as we headed home from taking care of a neighbor's dog. As all good sisters do who have a snap-happy sister, I ran well around the field after the flock in hope of one of those fabulous photos. You know, one of those with an inspiring faced person in the midst of a cloud of birds taking flight. True to say that the birds could care less about our picture, but at least we got a good little photo shoot out of the deal. Even if there's not a bird to be seen in any of the shots. ;)

What's the weather like by you this Spring?
Have you ever purchased from Garlands of Grace before?
Ever run across a corn field?

Let us know; let us press on to know YHWH; His going out is sure as the dawn; He will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth. Hosea 6:3

Your story about the birds is funny! Ah, fashion blogger moments. ;)
Our spring has varied in temperatures as well! Last week we had a day that was maybe 80* whereas today was maybe closer to 60*. :)

  3. I've been wanting to kinda do an "overhaul" on my wardrobe and make sure that everything in it brings me joy and is God-honoring. This post was very inspiring! In answer to the questions(I just love answering questions) 1. We had some 80 degree weather in Washington this past week but the rainclouds just rolled in. But hey, no need to water the garden today! 2. I have not purchased from Garlands of Grace but after a quick look at the website I think I'll have too soon! 3. I haven't run through a cornfield... does a hay field count? haha

    1. Hello! Its ever so encouraging that this post inspired you! Hearing so really makes writing them worthwhile! So thank you for taking the time to comment!

And yes!-- You'll really not be disappointed with taking the plunge to order from Garlands!

Of course a hay field counts! Though just cut fields aren't too much a pleasure in bare-feet if you ask me!

      Blessings to you!
