Jesus is Enough // In Fall Textiles and Cowgirl


            Hello everyone!  Hope that your weekend was a blessed one!
                     Yesterday we were able to go to two baptismal services and visit a nearby church.We had a  wonderful time meeting new people who share our beliefs and worshiping in a different atmosphere.     Though the day was filled with various events Bek and I were feeling a little 'down in the dumps' so we hiked up the hill next to our home and took our outfit pictures there. We had a fun time, if you can't tell by the gracious amount of photos. :)    We felt better by the time we strolled back down. Nature has that way about it, doesn't it ?







Our sermon was based on the familiar verses from Philippians 4:11-14;  "I am not saying this because I am not in need, for I have learned to be content in whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret to being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength."
 Paul went through some terrible things just read about them, 2 Corinthians 11:25-28. But through all this he kept his eyes on the prize, the end of the tunnel, Jesus and all He had being prepared for him in Heaven. All the things He had planned for him to do in his time here on earth. He was saying that even if he faced bad times he still knew who gave him life and was not going to waste away what God thought best for him.We need to follow this example as hard as it is sometimes!
 Our pastor went on to say, how can we truly know that Jesus is enough unless He is all that we have ? Big question huh ? Our nature is prone to seek after something wholeheartedly. Of couse it is Jesus, but we seek other things as we are really trying to find Him. So at times God may use trials to bring us back to Him. He wants us to rely on Him. At other times He brings us up into things so that we can be made stronger and be that encourager to the hurting, the ones who have gone before and have become bitter to bring them back to the fold... He is molding us into a perfect disciple! 


 Jesus is all that we need because He is everything! He made everything! We are truly nothing without Him! We need to do our best to keep this our main goal for everything! Colossians 2:13 sums it up, "God made you alive with Christ, He forgave us of all our sins." For more on about I would encourage you to read through this
We also went more into straying away from God, but I think that I am 'talking' to a pretty solid 'congregation' so I think that I will leave that for another time. I just want to encourage you in the fact that Jesus is always there for you! 
Believe it. Declare it. Live it.  :)

"What, then, shall we say in response to this ? If God is for us, who then can be against us ?"

 I really liked how this outfit worked out! Perfect fall colors- comfortable for the all the services we attended and I matched up two new pieces! Yay! 
This also is my elegant style type. Still has my vintage feel, but is functional to modern style, without compromising my modesty standards. I detest shirts with too many ruffles down the front...Each to her own.   :)

                       I saw this hair style on Pinterest this week. (Yes, I am feeling the clutch, hah)
                       French braid two braids to one side roll into buns, pin,fluff up, add bow!

              Rebekah built her outfit around her new belt.Who says black and brown cant 'go' ?
                                                For this it worked out well!

                    Brown cowboys: from a friend after she got them at goodwill (for $6!) and realized they were too big :)
                                                                        Purple skirt: out-of-the-way thrift store, $3
                                                                        Black long sleeved shirt: thrift shop, $4
                                                                        Black undershirt: hand me down from aunt
                                                                        Leather belt and buckle: gift from mom and dad
                                                                        White waxed cowboy hat: antique market, $10 
                                                                



 This giant bee hive is located near to our goat barn/ milking parlor, and it's residents are frequent visitors! Sorry it's grainy, Bek did not want to get too close!

 These are Rebekah's three favorite photos superimposed. I like the effect and we may use it again in the future!    ;-)     (Though it is a little bit hard to focus your eyes on!)      ;-P

    I just discovered your blog today! I love your outfits, my favorite has to be Cassie's from your post on the 23rd! Oh, I love your hairstyles! You are so talented. I love doing my sister's hair in many styles...yet, I can never do them on myself!! I also live in Michigan, although the leaves have changed in color quite a bit more where I live! It looks so green and spring-like there. I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future!

  4. Hello, ladies!
    Guess what, Cassie? I have those very same red, shiny flats in my closet too! Aren't they just wonderful shoes for Autumn and Winter? I like to pair them with a dull colored outfit and other red accessories to give off nice pops of color against the dull ones. It makes me feel as if I am the dull ground with brightly colored leaves all over me. Nice and cozy.

    I also love your hair! Unfortunately mine is too short to wind up into two braided buns, so I don't think I could pull this one off. Oh well.

    You both look so very lovely in your Sunday bests!

    1. Thank Jessica! Really ? I thought that I might have seen the before in one of your videos! :) Your description of them is perfect! :)
      Yes, about the hair style, I found it on Pinterest and then linked it to my board, but then I went back and the pin was not there! So anywho I will try and find it again...and the original style was not twisted in buns so if you can find it it may work for you! I had too much hair to just tuck in! :) It reminded me of your C shaped braid. :)
