Liebster Award || Bekah Tagged!

I've been tagged! Sadie from Birdie's Perch has awarded Cassie and I (Separately) the Liebster award!

Questions from Sadie and Answers from Me:

Are you named after someone in particular and do you know why?
No.

What's your favorite kind of berry?
Raspberry! Not blueberry even though I work at a blueberry farm.

Do you have a favorite Bible verse?
No. I have several!  One of them is Genesis 1:1. Do I really have to type it?  :-P

Do you play any instruments?
I play the piano. I am learning to play the piano. :-)

What does your name mean?
My name {Rebekah Elise Shashaguay} means...? Okay, the Hebrew meaning of Rebekah means captivating. Elise means... I don't really know! All I could find out was that it is the short French version of Elizabeth! My last name, Shashaguay, means "Heat off a rock". It is an Ottawa Indian name. My Grandfather was adopted by Indians during the Great Depression and he took their name. His original name was Rademacher which is a hereditary surname meaning wheelmaker or wheelwright.

Do you tend to be very outgoing or quieter?
Both. Really! If I just met you I wouldn't just walk up and say,"My name's Bekah! What's yours? Are you a Christian? Do you have any animals? How far away do you live?" But after I've talked to you a few times and know a bit about you from a different *source [*My Mom! She knows practically everyone within a 10 mile radius of our house! Or maybe 100!] I lose my initial shyness and am not nervous about starting up a conversation. On the other hand, if you are more shy than me, I might actually be the instigator of our friendship! I don't know why, but I'm drawn to shy people!  And if you talk about animals with me, be prepared to stay all night!

What's your favorite month or season and why?
Hmm... I like May best I think, because it marks the beginning of Spring's transition into Summer... My favorite season is Fall I think, because in MI the Summer stretches out for quite a while into the months that are typically categorized as Fall.

What do you like to do to have fun and relax?
Playing card games with my friends and writing in my journal are some things I do for fun.

Is there a particular song or album you've been listening to a lot lately?
A record [An actual vinyl one!] of some 1920's music. It has songs like "I'm Just Wild About  Harry" and "Five Foot Two Eyes of Blue" which I just love!!!

What's the farthest you've ever traveled from home?
 Lithuania!

What's something that always makes you laugh?
It's not a something but a someone! Tim Hawkins is my favorite comedian! I could watch the same video over and over and still burst out laughing! I think it's because he reminds me of me. Always making jokes and weird comparisons that cause my companions to become hysterical!

Eleven Random Facts About Me:

  3. Hi Bekah! :-)

I really enjoyed reading this....tags are always such fun. Wow, I didn't know your name was Indian! And your grandfather was adopted by Indians! That's really neat. I'm extremely interested in Indians. : )

1920s music is so fun. I remember 'I'm Just Wild About Harry' from Downton Abbey, when they played it at Lord Grantham's birthday party! "Do you think any of them know what the others are playing?" Haha. :-P

My cousins have actually seen Tim Hawkins him live and they have all his DVDs. I've seen a few, and we often quote him. He's so funny!

Thanks for awarding us! However, we don't really do tags and such on our Downton Abbey blog, so would you mind if I just answered the questions on my main blog?

I'm really looking forward to your fashion show! :-)

    God Bless,
    ~Emma

    1. Sure! I don't mind a'tall! ;-) I can't decide if I would actually want to see Tim Hawkins live because he always does such embarrassing things to the audience! It would still be fun though! Thanks for commenting!

  6. I know this question wasn't given to me, but still, I want to answer: I'd rather ride a horse than walk! Any day, any time! I love horses, I hate walking long distances.

  7. Hey thanks for nominating me! (Sorry I didn't get back to ya sooner!) I don't think I'm gonna do it though. But here are my answers:
1.Have you ever watched Downton Abbey? If so, how would you rate it from 1 to 10?- Nope
2.How long have you been blogging?- Just a little over a year. My blog birthday was just this month!
3.What is the long term goal for your blog?- To be an encouragement, plain and simple, and to bring glory and honor to God.
4.Have you ever set off a firework?- No
5.What kind of weather is there where you live? [i.e. tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes...]-Nothing major, we had fog this morning. I love fog, it's so pretty!
6.Would you rather ride [a horse] or walk?- RIDE need you ask? ;)
7.Have you ever been on a mission trip? If so, where to and why?- Nope
8.What version of the Bible do you prefer? [i.e. KJV, NIV, the Message]- KJV or NKJV I really don't like the idea of using a Bible that man has gone over to make it easier to understand, or has taken verses out of.
9.If you could have a certain amount of land for free, how much would you want and what kind terrain would it be? [i.e. 100 acres of pastureland, forrest, beach, etc.]- Ooohh! Maybe 30 acres of rolling pasture for my horses with a flat section for a good sized arena, and has either a creek or a pond on it. Also some woods for trail riding!
10.What is your last name and what does it mean? Lehigh uhhh I don't know? I don't think it was origionally Lehigh though. My Great, great grandpa went to school when he was a little fellow and the teacher asked him what his name was. He told her and she wrote it out as Lehigh, but I don't think that's quite what it was.
11.Do you have a paying job?- Not really, but I have my own little country craft business.
    Fun questions!
