Q+A // Award

               Hey! In this past week and a half we have been nominated twice for the Sunshine Award!
                                               First by Noemie at her lovely blog Seeking Jesus.
                And then by a dear girl whose blog we have just found! Make sure to visit her blog here.
                  She has some great posts on "Why I Wear Skirts" and "Why I Kissed Dating Goodbye".
                                                                Make sure to look for them in her archive!

Since we were given both of these awards so close together we thought we would just wrap them into one post!
                                                                        On to the Q+A and new nominees!

[I (Bekah) created this new Sunshine Award photo- the old flower one was getting pretty blurry!]

                  .::These are the questions asked by Every Good Gift and our separate answers for each::.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Rebekah's Answers~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Q:What is the hardest class/subject you have ever taken/studied?
A: Math. (Need I say more?)
Q:Do you sew/knit/crochet? If so, what was your last project?
A: Yes to all three but I enjoy crocheting the most! The last 'project' was a dishcloth - but in the past I have made a lap blanket that won 3rd prize in a fair...
Q:What is your favorite out-of-the-ordinary food? (i.e. I really like Chinese noodles.)
A: Hm... I pretty much like ordinary foods... The most unusual thing I like would be... pico de gallo?
Q: If you could have lunch with any literary character, who would it be and why?
A: Gilbert Blythe,  just because... :-)
Q:What person in your life has really impacted you?
A: Our family friend Wandy has been a great influence!
Q:If you were going to have lunch with the queen of England, what would you wear?
A: Hm... depends on where we were eating!  Maybe something like this:
   Jessica in Plaid_0004  Or for a picnic....   Love love love this outfit!!!
           (All rights to The Boyer Family Singers Blog)
Q:Hot dogs or hamburgers?
A: Hamburgers.
Q:If you listen to audio dramas, what is the best one you have ever heard?
A: No I don't really. (I can't stand how some narrators read the script!)  Hank the Cowdog is a good one my little sisters listen to though.... ;-P
Q:What is your favorite form of worship? (Singing, praying, listening to teaching, serving, etc.)
A: Singing!
Q:If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: Hm... Montana!
 Q:In what way has God really revealed himself to you?
A: In general, through His Word... And through hearing other people's amazing testimonies!
Q:What is the hardest class/subject you have ever taken/studied?
A: Probably my ninth grade Science.
Q:Do you sew/knit/crochet? If so, what was your last project?
A: All three for sure! Last sewing project was my pink 1890 apron for HSF. View that here.
Q:What is your favorite out-of-the-ordinary food? (i.e. I really like Chinese noodles.)
A: Umm... Kiwis or lentils.  :)
Q:If you could have lunch with any literary character, who would it be and why?
A:Yikes! Hard one! Maybe- Rachael Lind from Anne of GG because she is such a lively person and loving under all her prickles. That or Neal McNeal from the Christy books. I love his character.
Q:What person in your life has really impacted you?
A: I would say my Aunt Joey. She gave me my first kitting lesson, is amazing at organizing huge fundraisers, is very giving of both time and money to help the needy, and has helped our family in our most difficult times. She is an amazing person!  :)
Q:If you were going to have lunch with the queen of England, what would you wear?
A: Some flouncy '50's dress...and of course an overdone hat!
Q:Hot dogs or hamburgers?
A: Hamburgers- most of the time.
Q:If you listen to audio dramas, what is the best one you have ever heard?
A: Just audios in general- James Harriot's country veterinary stories, Anne of Green Gables, and every once in a while I will pick up an Amish love story to listen to while sewing.
Q:What is your favorite form of worship? (Singing, praying, listening to teaching, serving, etc.)
A: Singing and serving.
Q:If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: Either Idaho or London. :)
 Q:What experience in your life drew you close to God? / Or / In what way has God really revealed himself to you?
 A: Umm... My Dad was sick about four years ago and had to be apart from us for a while- we all were drawn together in that time and focused on what God had blessed us with. And when our baby brother was still born, we were all made even more aware at how amazing the life that God gives us is! Our mother was hospitalized after that for a few weeks- God's peace brought me through and gave me comfort and love.
                                                               .::Now for the questions from Seeking Jesus::.
Q:Which color do you try to incorporate the most in your wardrobe?
A: Does denim and or plaid count?  ;-P
Q:If you could own a wild animal from nature, which one would it be and why?
A: I would own a brown squirrel! Because I love them! And because I have had [for short periods of time] taken care of the following: A baby possum, baby raccoon, lots of different baby birds, a homing pigeon, salamanders, turtles, frogs, etc.  So a squirrel is one thing I have not yet enjoyed having!  ;-)
Q:Which is best for you, morning or evening?
A: Evening.
Q:What is your favorite summer sport?
A: Baseball. (I do not play [on a team] but my brother does!)
Q:Which one is your favorite letters from the Apostle Paul (Corinthians 1 or 2, Galatians, Philippians, etc.)?
A: Hm... I never really though about it before. Galatians I guess!
Q:What is your favorite hand craft (crochet, cross-stitch, sewing)?
A: Crocheting.
Q:What is the next birthday on your calendar?
A: Our little brother is turning 13 tomorrow!
Q:You've been running errands all day, it's late, and you have to make dinner. What would you quickly make?
 A: Biscuits and a glass of milk!
Q:Do you prefer country/bluegrass, classical, or modern music?
A: Well if I have to answer according to what I listen to most it would probably be modern Christian music. But if I answer for what I enjoy most- it's a tie between classical piano and bluegrass!  ;-)
Q:What is your favorite thing to do when Spring comes around?
 Walk barefoot into the woods to a big patch of forest carpet (a.k.a. moss) and sit down on it. Then SING!
