Sister Flair || Creamy Floral

Hi friends!
We are so happy to present to you our very first Sister Flair post, in which we explore the difference in ways same color hues brings on conflicting effects. If you also have been blessed with having a sister close to your same age, I'm sure you have at one time or another, planned or not, matched her attire to your own. Will you not join us as we look at our floral and dainty summery skirts?

What we are wearing:

On Cassie: Shoes: Blowfish, thrifted $3 // Slip: handmade by her // Skirt and headband: gifted // Floral top: handmade by her

Cassie adds: I brought my outfit splendidly together with my adorable twill, rubber soled shoes that some may remember from day one of the Three Day Button Up Challenge I attended in the beginning of April. Removing the elastic that once held the shoes on and replacing them with fabric ties has made them my summer go-to shoes. Who would have thought purple could blend with so much? Everything else came together once I realized how well the shoes would match this shirt I up-cycled from a sleeveless tunic a couple years back. Also- somehow I have never owned a white skirt until now, and I realize why so many use it for a summer staple!

On Rebekah: Shoes: American Eagle, $3 // Skirt: thrifted, $3 // Belt and hair flowers: borrowed from Cass // Floral top: thrifted, $3 // Undershirt: Old Navy, yard sale $1

Rebekah adds: Combining new summer/spring clothes into this outfit made it feel so fresh! Since I really didn't have a main color thought out in the beginning, I went ahead and added white to brighten everything up. The more casual belt also helped cinch up the waist, as well as give definition, to the otherwise billowy top.

We decided to head out to the daisy field after services again, the Sunday these photos were taken. Bribing our dear old brother to do our photography (only on the ones of us together) is still being tossed around as being either a blessing or a curse. So who knows how many of these posts we will be able to get up on a regular basis. I spose we will take them as they come.

The cool breezes that are flowing through the house today, sure feels wonderful after our humid rains yesterday. They truly are beckoning us to take just a wee nap each. That is, if we are not too busy packing. Packing for what you may ask? Well dears, tomorrow is the day, the day we have been waiting for, the day we leave for Lithuania.

So much love,
Cassie

  4. What lovely outfits my dears! You both look darling, and very summery indeed! Cassie, I have to hand it to you again for how artistically you style your hair; very, very nice work!

    I can't believe you will leave for Lithuania today! Wow! It almost feels as if I ought to give you both a cyberspace hug, and wish you a very safe journey! We will miss you and hope and pray for your safety as well as strength to do the good work the LORD has lead you to do. May He prosper the productivity of your hands, hearts, and minds as you serve those who have not yet known the saving grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

    Blessings to you both in your travels!!!

    Love ever,
