Outfit // Nautical Spring

Outfit // Nautical Spring
Hello everyone! Well, we made it through Tulip Time! This week is going great; the recovery of such an event can lots of times linger around for a few weeks, but this year I think we've already done quite well at getting things put away till next year and putting the house in order again. I think it helps too to make sure you don't rush into a busy coming period as well; that's just what we did the day these photos were taken before the hectic week came!-- took a jaunt down to the creek!

Fulton Illinois Trip // Tulip Time 2015

Fulton Illinois Trip & Tulip Time 2015
Hello there dear friends! Life has been such a whirlwind of late. Most of you who follow both Bek and I as a blog on other social media sites (Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter) have some idea of where we've been and what we've been up to since our little blogging break. But to give all of our audience an update, we thought it would be appropriate to share a bit of our lasts two weeks with you right here!

Tulip Time || What We Do

Hello Dears!
We are finally here to share with you, as promised and anticipated, what it is our family exactly does during the festival in our area called Tulip Time. We took as many chances as possible to snap photos to share with and to open the window to a little part of our lives during this busy week with you!
Shall we begin with this photo (hopefully not boring) overload?

May || Photo-a-Day || Week Fourteen

HSF: UFO's and PHD's || Staphorst Bib

 Goodness! Finally I get the chance to bring this post together! Nine o’clock is not the best time to do this- let us not get back into our old habits shall we?

As I mentioned in our last post our week of preparation is awaiting to get busy for our Tulip Time event and our verity show. Among other things we had to throw together a funeral luncheon at our church and our family has been battling the spring cough and aching throat. And it has been rainy all day leaving me with that dreary feeling of not being able to catch up on anything and bringing many sighs and a downtrodden face. I think that now that the work day is completed and we have crossed off our lists of tasks I can now can sit and move on with this, that is a sewing challenge for Historical Sew Fortnightly.

Outfit // What I Wore on Resurrection Sunday

Hello all! We are busy over here getting ready for our big week of Tulip Time. Each year it seems to creep up on us even with all of our preparations. Last minute costume alterations, 200 banket sticks to make and package, and daily toils has made our family very grateful for our fabulous Sabbath weekend before the event actually begins.

HSF: Tops and Toes | Dutch Staphorst Hat

Hey all! Today I have a little  sewing project to share, for Historical Sew Fortnightly of-course!

Yes, yes, I know that this particular challenge is indeed the next one coming, but you see, I was all along thinking that this was the one coming up! So once I realized that I had made a mistake I decided to just share this anyway and then share today's real challenge (fairytale inspired) next round.Then I will be back on track with y'all!

Outfit || You Know It's Me

Howdy dears! We have had a great weekend over on this end--how about you? It was great to visit our grandparent's church and celebrate our grandfather's birthday following the service yesterday.
Finding another book shelf, at a thrift store of-course, to finish up our schoolroom's furnishings has occupied the rest of this weekend's free time. Hauling an oak cabinet up two flights of stairs is hard on the muscles, at least we are used to it and have the crew to assist!
