Heading to the U.P.! (Blogging Break)

Hazzah! Let the roads be clear and the weather be grand because we're traveling up North this week! We've wanted to take a family vacation for quite some time and what better a time than Feast of Tabernacles, eh? What better a time to head to the northern part of our beloved state than at the very peak of autumnal colors? Yes, we're headed to the UP with plenty of books, games, and camp chairs in tow! If you're traveling this fine season, may YHWH watch over you and bless your time with friends and family!

 For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His sukkah {tabernacle}; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.

Passover (2016)

Happy first week of June to y'all! Where is this year going to so quickly?! I've wanted to get this post out the last couple of weeks, but each time I ended up blogging another post. Passover for our household has consisted of varying events over the years, but since we've been keeping the feast days consecutively for the past two and a half, this past Pesach was different than we've had before since this time we were able to just have our own family remembrance and learn deeper together what this special time is for, bringing us closer to the Father in understanding His ways for us as members of the Body.

Spring 2016

The days of open windows and bare feet are upon us in our Michigan State. Finally the season of back and forth business of one week with snow, the next with warm rain seem to have made their last debut and flowers are blooming, birds are singing, and little new born critters are beginning to be seen scampering more now that the cooler temps aren't keeping them under their borrows.

Hello all! Priorities are something I've been trying to work on of late. What a task it can be! (Post to follow specifically on that.) But one I've set for myself is to try and spend more time with my youngest two sisters. With working hours long and more "grown-up" things to attend to, I feel this has easily taken a backseat. Two weekends ago now, when these pictures were taken, I decided to just hop up and take a little adventure with the two kiddos in tow one 50F. Saturday and goodness was it fun!

Happy Monday! Life is funny, funny in how it persuades you to forget to do things (like write up Photo a Day posts) or to do things you never thought you would (like staying up half the night talking to someone you've never met). But it is so amazingly wonderful, no matter how "weird" things seem to be it's a comfort to know Who gives us such happenings and how He orchestrates them for His glory. Making all those thoughts of life come together and make sense in the end.

April showers bring May flowers, (Tulips hopefully!) and for us, lots of busyness mostly because of the construction of our kitchen. So even though we have begun putting separate posts together for The Project, pictures of it have some how seeped into Photo a Day as well. But since that is what our life mainly consists of right now, I guess it's okay!

Hello Spring! Oh, and you all too! ;) Though we are still surrounded by brown trees and dead looking shrubbery, we are beginning to hear the sounds that only Spring brings. Chattering squirrels, children running about playing in backyards, and little bird calls how ever soft they may be. We crack open the windows to smell that fresh scent and then wrap up in blankets when dusk comes. With Spring here we find ourselves celebrating the sacrifice of our Savior, working on our homestead, and doing every day things. Spring is so wonderful!

Kitchen Update // Vol.1, The Floors

Happy Monday to you! Yay for getting back to our regular blogging days this week! Most of you will have already known bits and pieces about what I will be showing you today, but whether you are a family member popping in to see, people we go to church with, or friends from other social media sites; I wanted to make sure to journal these days that we have waited for for so long and keep you all up to date as well! So I thought, how better to do that than to share the process of our big project on the Blog? So here we go with the first installment; the sanding and refinishing of the floors in our long awaited kitchen!

 And once again- I'm late! What prohibited me from posting on schedule this week was a crowd of 350 women- no joke! Haha! My Mom, Cassie, and I attended the first night of a ladies conference hosted at Cassie's boss' church Friday... night. So I actually could've posted it before but I was at the library where my Mom fills in (And used to work full time) moving books! Let's just say life happened and the post... didn't. Until now!
